Markieff Morris and the Nets reach an agreement

According to the press, Markieff Morris and the Brooklyn Nets have reached an agreement on a one-year contract as they continue to assemble their frontcourt for the 2022–23 campaign. Morris played for the Miami Heat in just 17 games the previous season, averaging 7.6 points, 2.6 rebounds, and 1.4 assists while shooting 47.4% from the field and 33.3% from 3-point range.

He was an important player for the Los Angeles Lakers in the 2019-20 championship and has appeared in 50 playoff games in total. Morris will team up with All-Star and previous Kia MVP Kevin Durant in Brooklyn. Durant just decided to continue playing for the Nets after asking to be traded in the offseason. Royce O’Neale, Ben Simmons, Nic Claxton, T.J. Warren, and Kevin Durant are the other players on the Nets who are anticipated to get considerable playing time in 2022–23. Due to a whiplash injury, Morris was out for the final four months of the previous campaign.
