Ford Field in Detroit will host the NCAA Men’s Final Four in 2027

The NCAA Men’s Final Four will return to Detroit in 2027 for the first time since 2009, according to an announcement made today by the NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Committee. The national championship game will tip off on Monday, April 5, 2027, after the national semifinals are played on Saturday, April 3, 2027, at Ford Field. The Detroit Sports Commission, Visit Detroit, Michigan State University, the City of Detroit, Ford Field, and the Detroit Lions all worked together to win the bid.

The NCAA Men’s Final Four will return to Detroit in 2027, according to Dave Beachnau, executive director of the Detroit Sports Commission. “We’ve worked hard with our partners to bring this top event to college basketball fans all around the state, and we can’t wait to see how it will benefit the area. With the recent news that Detroit will host the 2024 NFL Draft and the momentum we’ve seen indicating that Detroit is on the comeback trail, it’s been a great year for sports in Michigan.”
