Orlando Magic – Brooklyn Nets Preview – 01.08.2016

The Brooklyn Nets welcome the Orlando Magic to the Barclays Center. Action begins at 7:30 pm ET on Friday, Jan. 8 and can be seen on YES and FxF.

The Nets are expecting a better outcome after their 91-74 loss to the Raptors on Wednesday. Despite the loss, Brook Lopez earned his 15th double-double this season with 24 points and 13 rebounds. The Magic, meanwhile, are feeling some disappointment after their 95-86 loss against the Pacers on Wednesday. Victor Oladipo had a team-high 20 points.

Over the last five games, Lopez has taken his game to another level for the Nets, averaging 24.6 points, 11.6 rebounds, 1.2 assists, 1.4 steals, and 2.2 blocks.

Scoring opportunities from the charity stripe may be sporadic for the Magic in this one. They’re 30th in the league in free throw attempt rate (21.4), while Brooklyn is among the NBA’s least foul-prone teams (yielding a rate of 25.1, ranking fifth overall).
