The Golden State Warriors (35-2) will attempt to keep their six-game winning streak alive when they meet the Miami Heat (22-15) at ORACLE Arena. Action begins at 10:30 pm ET on Monday, Jan. 11 and can be seen on GS2 and SUN.
The Warriors enter this game hoping for similar success after topping the Kings 128-116 on Saturday. Stephen Curry was a key piece, recording his seventh double-double of the season with 38 points and 11 assists. The Heat, meanwhile, are feeling some disappointment after their 98-83 loss against the Jazz on Saturday. Chris Bosh led the team in scoring with 24 points.
Draymond Green and Klay Thompson have been better than usual over the last five games for the Warriors. During that stretch, Green has averaged 17.4 points, 13.2 rebounds, 8.6 assists, 1.4 steals, 1.4 blocks, and 2.4 three-pointers, while Thompson has recorded 28.6 points, 4.8 rebounds, 3.6 assists, 0.6 blocks, and 4.4 three-pointers a game. Bosh has upped his play for the Heat. In the same five-game span, he is averaging 24.0 points, 6.6 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 1.0 steal, 0.6 blocks, and 1.8 three-pointers.
It will be a showdown of conflicting tempos, as the up-and-down Warriors (ranked second in the NBA in possessions per game) will look to push the slow-paced Heat (30th in possessions per game).
