CFL Betting: It is a matchup of division leaders in Week 9 of the CFL as the Toronto Argonauts visit the Edmonton Eskimos. The Argonauts lead a weak East Division while the Eskimos are tied with Calgary at the top of the West Division. The action in Week 9 begins on Friday with Montreal at Winnipeg, continues on Saturday with the Argos at the Eskimos and wraps up on Sunday with Calgary at Ottawa and Saskatchewan at British Columbia. Let’s look at the four games and CFL picks.
–Friday, August 22–
Montreal Alouettes at Winnipeg Blue Bombers
The Alouettes are a mess having lost five in a row while the Blue Bombers are also struggling of late after starting well. The Blue Bombers have won six of the last ten in this series with three of the last four going over. Surprisingly, this has been a road team series with Montreal winning six of the last ten in Winnipeg. Despite the trends we’ll look for Winnipeg to win this one on Friday.
–Saturday, August 23–
Toronto Argonauts at Edmonton Eskimos
The Eskimos have won and covered six of the last ten in this series with the last three going over. This is another series that has favored the road team as Toronto has won six of the last ten in Edmonton and covered seven of the last 10. We’ll look for the Argos to cover this one and for the game to go over the CFL odds.
–Sunday, August 24–
Calgary Stampeders at Ottawa RedBlacks
These teams met earlier this month in Calgary and the Stampeders rolled 38-17. This time around it might be tougher so we’ll take the points with the RedBlacks at home.
Saskatchewan Roughriders at British Columbia Lions
These teams have split their last ten meetings overall with nine of the last 10 going under. The Lions have won seven of the last 10 at home in the series with the last five going under. We’ll go with the trends in this one and look for the game to go under the CFL betting total.
