It will be a battle between West Coast opponents when the San Francisco Dons (13-11) welcome the San Diego Toreros (8-16) to War Memorial Gymnasium. The game gets underway at 6:00 pm ET on Saturday, Feb. 13.
The Dons got blown out by BYU 114-89 on Thursday. Devin Watson finished with 29 points to lead the team. The Toreros, meanwhile, are coming off a tough 74-71 loss at the hands of Santa Clara on Thursday. Olin Carter III stood out for San Diego, posting 14 points, three rebounds, and two assists.
Tim Derksen has really been playing well as of late for the Dons, averaging 18.2 points, 8.8 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 1.0 steal, and 1.4 three-pointers over the last five games.
This will be the second matchup of the season between these two teams. The Dons won the first game 73-65. Ronnie Boyce III was a top performer in the victory with 22 points, seven rebounds, two assists, two steals, one block, and five three-pointers.
