McNeese State Cowboys – Northwestern State Demons Preview – 02.13.2016

It will be a meeting between two of the nation’s top scoring defenses when the Northwestern State Demons (6-15) play against the McNeese State Cowboys (6-15). The game starts at 4:30 pm ET on Saturday, Feb. 13 and will air on ES3.

The Demons were beaten by Stephen F. Austin 83-72 in their last game. Zeek Woodley finished with 25 points to lead the team. The Cowboys, meanwhile, are coming off an 87-76 win over New Orleans in their last outing. James Harvey shot 8 for 14 and led in scoring with 23 points.

Over the last five games, Woodley has really been playing well for the Demons. During that stretch, he has averaged 25.8 points, 5.2 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 0.8 steals, and 4.0 three-pointers. On the other side, the Cowboys have been led by Craig McFerrin. He has been on fire, averaging 13.6 points, 8.6 rebounds, 1.4 assists, 1.8 steals, and 0.6 blocks in the same time frame.

This will be the second matchup of the season between these two teams. The Cowboys won the first game 75-74. Stephen Ugochukwu was a top performer in the victory with 19 points, eight rebounds, one assist, one steal, and three blocks.
