Hampton Pirates – Delaware State Hornets Preview – 02.22.2016

The Hampton Pirates (15-9), the Mid-Eastern’s top scoring team, will challenge the Delaware State Hornets (7-21) at Memorial Hall. Action begins at 7:30 pm ET on Monday, Feb. 22.

The Hornets enter this game hoping for similar success after barely hanging on to beat Norfolk State 67-64 on Saturday. DeAndre Haywood was a key piece with 15 points, three steals, and three rebounds. The Pirates, meanwhile, are coming off an 87-79 win against Morgan State on Monday. Quinton Chievous claimed his ninth double-double of the season with 20 points and 10 rebounds.
