The New Orleans Privateers will be at University Center to play the Southeastern Louisiana Lions in a Southland matchup. The game starts at 8:00 pm ET on Tuesday, Feb. 23.
The Lions were beaten by Abilene Christian 91-80 on Sunday. Dimi Cook finished with 16 points to lead the game. The Privateers, meanwhile, are coming off a 102-99 win over Northwestern State on Saturday. Erik Thomas had a good game and claimed his fourth double-double of the season, posting 18 points and 11 rebounds.
It could be a sloppy game for the Lions offense, which ranks 335th in the nation in ball protection (TO% of 21.7%). They’ll be facing the ball-hawking New Orleans defense, which forces the 15th-most turnovers in the nation (22.4%). Also, the offense of the Privateers seems ready to earn plenty of trips to the line. They rank 16th in the nation in FTA rate (44.6), while the Lions are among the nation’s most foul-happy teams (allowing a 325th-ranked mark of 44.6).
