The Vermont Catamounts (17-12) will bring the regular season to a close on their home court when they square off against the New Hampshire Wildcats (17-10) at Roy L Patrick Gymnasium. The game starts at 7:00 pm ET on Wednesday, Feb. 24.
The Catamounts easily got past UMBC 99-54 on Saturday. Cam Ward led all scorers on the team with 24 points on 7-for-7 shooting. The Wildcats are coming off a 74-63 win over Hartford on Saturday. Daniel Dion played well for New Hampshire, recording 12 points, four rebounds, and four assists.
Over the last five games, Tanner Leissner has been on fire for the Wildcats. During that stretch, he has averaged 20.2 points, 10.0 rebounds, 1.0 assist, 0.8 steals, and 0.8 three-pointers.
This will be the second matchup of the season between these two teams. The Catamounts won the first game 66-50. Ethan O’Day was a top performer in the victory with 19 points, four rebounds, and three blocks.
