Wright State Raiders – Youngstown State Penguins Preview – 02.25.2016

It will be a battle between Horizon opponents when the Youngstown State Penguins (10-19) welcome the Wright State Raiders (17-12) to Beeghly Physical Education Center. The game starts at 7:45 pm ET on Thursday, Feb. 25 and will air on EFC and ES3.

The Penguins lost big to Milwaukee 87-51 on Monday. Matt Donlan was the team’s high scorer, contributing 13 points. The Raiders are coming off a 67-64 win over Northern Kentucky on Saturday. Michael Karena led the team in scoring with 17 points on 4-for-5 shooting.

This game should be a battle of contrasting styles. The Penguins (ranked eighth in the nation in possessions per game) prefer a fast-breaking style of play, while the Raiders (270th) are slow-paced.

This will be the second matchup of the season between these two teams. The Raiders won the first game 81-45. Karena was a top performer in the victory with 13 points, four rebounds, two assists, and four steals.
