Saint Francis Red Flash – Sacred Heart Pioneers Preview – 02.27.2016

It will be a battle between Northeast opponents when the Sacred Heart Pioneers (11-17) welcome the Saint Francis Red Flash (13-15) to William Pitt Center – West Gym. The game starts at 3:30 pm ET on Saturday, Feb. 27.

The Pioneers were beaten by Robert Morris 73-63 on Thursday. Matej Buovac played well for Sacred Heart, finishing with 16 points, seven rebounds, and one block. The Red Flash, meanwhile, are coming off a 69-54 loss at the hands of Wagner on Thursday. Ronnie Drinnon accumulated 13 points, seven rebounds, and three assists.

Over the last five games, Cane Broome has really been playing well for the Pioneers. During that stretch, he has averaged 27.0 points, 5.8 rebounds, 3.4 assists, 2.0 steals, and 1.4 three-pointers. On the other side, the Red Flash have been led by Drinnon. He has been on fire, averaging 17.6 points, 12.6 rebounds, 1.6 assists, 0.8 steals, and 1.2 three-pointers in the same time frame.

This will be the second matchup of the season between these two teams. The Red Flash won the first game 84-80. Ben Millaud-Meunier was a standout player in the game, producing 24 points, two rebounds, five assists, one steal, and five three-pointers.
