Louisiana-Monroe Warhawks – Troy Trojans Preview – 02.27.2016

The Louisiana-Monroe Warhawks (16-12), the Sun Belt’s top shooting team, will challenge the Troy Trojans (9-19) at Trojan Arena. Action begins at 5:15 pm ET on Saturday, Feb. 27.

The Trojans are hoping to rebound after their 73-63 loss to Louisiana-Lafayette on Thursday. Wesley Person was the team’s leading scorer with 17 points. The Warhawks, meanwhile, are coming off a 66-59 win against South Alabama on Thursday. Majok Deng had a good game for Louisiana-Monroe, accounting for 13 points, five rebounds, and five assists.

This is the second game of the season between these two teams, with the Warhawks winning the first matchup 85-74. Justin Roberson had a stellar game with 26 points, seven rebounds, four assists, three steals, and two three-pointers.

The Trojans come into this game 9-19 Straight Up (SU) and 10-16 Against The Spread (ATS). Over their last 10 games, they have had success covering the spread (8-2). The Trojans have seen an uptick in scoring as of late, averaging 79.7 points during the last 10 games compared to their season average of 70.8 points per game.
