Portland Pilots – San Diego Toreros Preview – 02.27.2016

It will be a battle between West Coast opponents when the San Diego Toreros (8-20) welcome the Portland Pilots (12-18) to Jenny Craig Pavilion. The game gets underway at 9:00 pm ET on Saturday, Feb. 27.

The Toreros lost big to Gonzaga 82-60 on Thursday. Jito Kok had a good game for San Diego, contributing 11 points, eight rebounds, and five blocks. The Pilots are coming off an ugly 99-81 loss at the hands of BYU on Thursday. Bryce Pressley recorded 15 points, six assists, and four rebounds.

Over the last five games, Pressley has been on fire for the Pilots. During that stretch, he has averaged 14.8 points, 4.4 rebounds, 4.2 assists, 1.2 steals, 0.8 blocks, and 1.2 three-pointers.

This will be the second matchup of the season between these two teams. The Toreros won the first game 82-71. Duda Sanadze was a top performer in the victory with 29 points, five rebounds, and three three-pointers.
