Penn Quakers – Dartmouth Big Green Preview – 03.04.2016

Ivy League foes will battle when the Dartmouth Big Green (9-17) take on the Penn Quakers (11-14) at Edward Leede Arena. Action starts at 7:00 pm ET on Friday, Mar. 4.

The Big Green are hoping for a better outcome after their 76-71 loss to Yale the last time they played. Taylor Johnson was the game’s high scorer with 18 points. The Quakers, meanwhile, are feeling some disappointment after their deflating 93-65 loss to Columbia in their last outing. Darien Nelson-Henry led the team in scoring with 18 points.

Over the last five games, Nelson-Henry has been hot for the Quakers. During that stretch, he has averaged 16.6 points, 9.2 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 0.6 steals, and 0.8 blocks.

This is the second game of the season between these two teams, with the Quakers winning the first matchup 71-64. Nelson-Henry was a standout player in the game, producing 19 points, four rebounds, two assists, two steals, and two blocks.

The Big Green come into this game 9-17 Straight Up (SU) and 7-10 Against The Spread (ATS).

On the other side, the Quakers have 11-14 SU and 9-8-1 ATS records. Teams don’t seem to hit many three-pointers against the Quakers, who are 10th in the country in terms of three-point field goals allowed at 158 this season.

The Quakers’ win over Dartmouth in their last clash brought their SU record in their most recent games to 7-3. Furthermore, Penn holds the advantage ATS with a record of 6-4. Penn held the advantage in field goals, rebounds, and three-pointers once in the last five matchups. On the other side of the court, Dartmouth never accomplished this feat in that span.

Predictions: SU Winner – Dart, ATS Winner – Dart
