EPL Fantasy: The Optimal Lineup For This Saturday’s Daily Leagues

We’ve got 16 games to work with on Saturday for EPL fantasy. That will mean plenty of options to choose from when it comes to building the perfect lineup in DraftKings daily EPL fantasy leagues. Matchups and individual player prices should factor heavily in to your decisions when it comes to finding the perfect balance between star players and strong value plays. Here is a look at our optimal lineup for Saturday’s DraftKings tournaments.

GK: Joe Hart, Manchester City

Salary: $4,500

Manchester City will look to rebound from a disappointing loss to Liverpool with a better result on Saturday. A very favorable matchup against last-place Aston Villa should provide the perfect opportunity to bounce back and it wouldn’t be a surprise if Hart registers the clean sheet victory.

D: Bacary Sagna, Manchester City

Salary: $3,500

The lowest scoring team in the Premier League will have a tough time breaking through on the road against Manchester City so it only makes sense to capitalize on the EPL fantasy matchup by plugging in one of their top defender options.

D: Nicolas Otamendi, Manchester City

Salary: $3,100

Otamendi fits the criteria of what we are looking for at the defender position as a very affordable option that also helps us take advantage of City’s favorable EPL fantasy matchup.

D: Simon Francis, Bournemouth

Salary: $2,600

Bournemouth will have an excellent opportunity to extend its undefeated run to three games versus a Newcastle side that has dropped four of its last five games overall. Francis is a capable defender available at a very reasonable price so it only makes sense to take advantage of the situation and plug him in.

M: Riyad Mahrez, Leicester

Salary: $8,000

The money we saved at the defender positions allows us to spend big on the best midfielder option available for Saturday in Mahrez. Leicester’s star in the middle of the field has recorded 14 goals and 25 points in 27 games this season and should deliver another strong performance versus Watford on Saturday.

M: Matt Ritchie, Bournemouth

Salary: $6,100

Ritchie ranks second on his club in assists this season and while he hasn’t been able to capitalize on all of his scoring opportunities and become the most consistent producer this year he has still been very good. Ritchie is available at a very reasonable $6.1K so he is definitely worth taking a chance on based on the matchup.

M: Fernandinho, Manchester City

Salary: $3,100

Fernandinho is tied with Yaya Toure for the most starts for City this season and while his production has been limited he is a good value option at the midfield position that allows us to once again spend a little more money at another spot

F: Diego Costa, Chelsea

Salary: $7,200

Costa has been on fire of late and he is suddenly up to 11 goals in 24 games this season. Chelsea has really turned things around over the past couple of months and suddenly he is worth taking a chance on as our top forward option.

F: Marko Arnautovic, Stoke City

Salary: $5,200

Arnautovic scored twice in last week’s 2-1 win over Aston Villa and now has nine goals and four assists on the year. He isn’t the most explosive forward option, but he is a strong value option at just over $5K with the hope that he can produce another multi-point effort this weekend.

FLEX: Emmanuel Emenike, West Ham

Salary: $3,800

Emenike is one of two sleeper picks we will try out at our FLEX position at a very reasonable price this weekend with the hope that he can capitalize on the opportunity that his team has provided him with. Emenike has started three straight games for West Ham and the hope is that he can deliver his second multi-goal game of the season as an intriguing value EPL fantasy option.

FLEX: Steve Cook, Bournemouth

Salary: $2,400

Cook follows the same mold that we used with our Manchester City defenders as a player available at a very good price that should benefit from a favorable matchup. There isn’t much we can do with our remaining cash space, but Cook’s upside is likely the best we can add to our lineup with the money we have left over for this final spot.
