Houston Rockets – Charlotte Hornets Preview – 03.12.2016

The Charlotte Hornets (36-28) take on the visiting Houston Rockets (33-32) at the Time Warner Cable Arena. The game gets underway at 7:00 pm ET on Saturday, Mar. 12 and will air on RSW and FxS.

The Hornets beat the Pistons 118-103 on Friday. With 17 points and 11 assists, Nicolas Batum recorded his 10th double-double this season. The Rockets, meanwhile, are coming off a 102-98 win over the Celtics on Friday. James Harden led the game in scoring with 32 points on 9-for-19 shooting.

Over the last five games, Kemba Walker has really been playing well for the Hornets. During that stretch, he has averaged 29.6 points, 4.8 rebounds, 6.6 assists, 1.0 steal, and 3.6 three-pointers.

Based on each team’s statistical profile, ball protection could play an integral role in this matchup. The Hornets commit the fewest miscues in the NBA (turnover percentage of 12.4%), while the ball-hawking defense of Charlotte forces the second-most (opponents’ turnover percentage of 15.9%).
