After a complete day off on Monday, the final push towards the playoffs will continue on Tuesday with an absolutely loaded NBA fantasy slate. 22 teams will be in action so there will be plenty of options to decide between in DraftKings Daily Fantasy Leagues. Here is some important fantasy advice to consider for Tuesday’s NBA action.
Weak Defense To Target: Phoenix Suns
The Atlanta Hawks will be looking to move one step closer to locking up home court advantage for the opening round of the playoffs when they host the Phoenix Suns on Tuesday night. They shouldn’t have much problem pulling out the victory. Phoenix has dropped six straight and has fallen to 29th in the NBA with an average of 107.6 points allowed per game in the process so they are the obvious defense to target in Daily Fantasy Leagues. Jeff Teague has been on fire for the Hawks of late and is probably the best bet to have in your lineup. The veteran point guard has averaged 24.0 points, 6.3 assists, 4.0 rebounds, 1.0 steal and 1.0 three-point shot per game over the last week of action and should be a solid play with the struggling Suns in town.
Player Who’s Hot Right Now: DeMar DeRozan, Toronto Raptors
The Toronto Raptors have set a franchise record for wins this season. Now they will look to head in to the postseason with a little momentum on their side. DeMar DeRozan has been heating up again for the Raptors of late. The All-Star guard has averaged 24.0 points, 5.0 assist, 4.3 rebounds, 1.3 steals and 1.3 three-point shots per game over the last seven days. Toronto will host the Charlotte Hornets on Tuesday night so make sure to ride the hot hand in DeRozan.
Injuries, Rest Opportunities For… Luke Babbitt, Austin Rivers
The New Orleans Pelicans have given Luke Babbitt a spot in their starting lineup and as long as he continues to put up impressive numbers ,he should hold on to that role. It’s a bit of a surprise to see him getting time as he averaged just 22.6 minutes per game last month. He’s basically been a forgotten man on the roster until last month. However, he’s played well over 30 minutes in two straight games and has delivered. Babbitt has averaged 16.8 points, 4.3 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 1.8 three-point shots per game for New Orleans over the last week and will have every opportunity to continue his strong run when the Pelicans visit the Philadelphia 76ers.
Meanwhile, the Los Angeles Clippers have gotten some excellent production out of Austin Rivers of late. Rivers has averaged 17.0 points, 3.0 three-point shots, 2.8 assists, 2.8 rebounds and 1.5 steals per game over the last seven days. You have to temper expectations as those averages are being pulled up by a 32-point effort when Chris Paul was rested. The Clippers rested him on Thursday to give him some time off, and if that happens again, Rivers could be a good option as Clippers set to host the Lakers on Tuesday night.
Highest Scoring Game Of The Night: POR @ SAC
The Sacramento Kings and Portland Trail Blazers rank third and sixth respectively in points per game this season so there is every reason to expect them to produce the highest scoring game of the night when they meet on Tuesday. The Kings have been eliminated from postseason contention but they still have pride to play for and should give the Trail Blazers all they can handle at home. Sacramento’s Seth Curry has come on with some decent numbers of late and as long as Marco Belinelli remains out with a foot injury he should be a strong sleeper option. Curry has averaged 16.0 points, 2.5 three-point shots, 2.3 assists, 1.8 rebounds and 1.3 steals per game over his past two outings and is still available for a very reasonable price on DraftKings. Meanwhile, Maurice Harkless has put up decent enough numbers to consider him a sleeper option from Portland in this matchup. Harkless has averaged 12.5 points, 6.8 rebounds and 1.0 assist per game over his last three contests and looks like another strong value NBA fantasy option to take advantage of the matchup.
