UConn sophomore wing Daniel Hamilton made his decision public on Tuesday evening, announcing his intention to declare for the NBA Draft, hire an agent, and forego the remaining two seasons of college eligibility that he had left.

Hamilton averaged 12.5 points, 8.9 rebounds, and 4.7 assists per game as a sophomore, becoming the all-around playmaker that head coach Kevin Ollie envisioned for the Southern California product during his initial recruitment.
Now the question becomes whether or not Hamilton has what it takes to move up in projected NBA Draft boards. As of now, he’s a well-sized wing who finds a ton of ways to put the ball into the basket. However, what NBA folks want to know is, does he do anything great?
Sure, finding ways to score in college is helpful, but Hamilton rarely found himself on the beneficial end of a clean look, often having to manufacture challenging shots going to the rim. If he can make himself into a dedicated defender, rebounder, and three-point shooter, then it’s hard to see someone not taking a chance on him come draft night.
