EPL Fantasy: The Optimal Daily Fantasy Lineup For Week 34

It’s time to set our EPL fantasy lineup for Week 34. Leicester City’s improbable push towards a Premier League title will continue on Sunday but before that there are six games on the schedule for Saturday for which this week’s DraftKings contests are built around. That includes the EPL $10K STRIKER, which features $10,000 in total prizes with only a $3 fee to enter. Here is a look at the optimal lineup for this week’s DraftKings EPL Fantasy Leagues.

GK: Lukasz Fabianski, Swansea City

Salary: $3,400

Swansea has earned at seven of a possible nine points over its last three games, conceding only two goals over that span including a pair of clean sheet wins over Aston Villa and Chelsea. Next up is a road game against a reeling Newcastle side that has been limited to 19 goals all season so Fabianski could easily be the best option on the board at his position.

D: Angel Rangel, Swansea City

Salary: $3,100

Rangel was one of five Swansea players shown a yellow card in last week’s win over Chelsea but he also did a tremendous job at his own end of the pitch and even had a shot in the win. He doesn’t offer much offensive upside but it’s hard to argue against the price tag in EPL fantasy

D: Ashley Williams, Swansea City

Salary: $2,600

Williams is our third Swansea player in as many positions but he is $500 cheaper than Rangel and could be just as effective against a very limited Newcastle side.

D: Jose Fonte, Southampton

Salary: $2,400

Fonte has been a steady defender all season for Southampton and at just $2.4K he is a terrific asset that we can plug in to our final defender position without worry. He even chipped in with a shot on target in last week’s win over Newcastle and should be a strong play this week with Southampton set to visit Everton.

M: Gylfi Sigurdsson, Swansea

Salary: $7,700

It didn’t take us long to turn back to Swansea with the most expensive midfield option on the board. Sigurdsson has been a playmaking force all season and after saving big with value plays at the defender position we have the money to afford him as our top midfield option for this week.

M: Kevin De Bruyne, Manchester City

Salary: $7,500

De Bruyne isn’t the most expensive player on our roster but he could very well end up being the most productive. The veteran midfielder has been outstanding for Manchester City but at home and in the Champions League and we are banking on that to continue versus Chelsea this Saturday.

M: Samir Nasri, Manchester City

Salary: $3,600

An injury to David Silva will likely pave the way for Nasri to be a more consistent presence in the Manchester City lineup throughout the remainder of the regular season. He has sneaky offensive upside and his price tag makes him a very reasonable value play.

F: Graziano Pelle, Southampton

Salary: $6,000

Pelle has been Southampton’s most lethal striker option all season with 10 goals and five assists and we expect that to continue this week. Pelle is among the most expensive options available at his position but he fits in perfectly on a roster that is loaded with strong value plays.

F: Anthony Martial, Manchester United

Salary: $6,600

Manchester United will look to bounce back after last week’s embarrassing lopsided loss to Tottenham and a date with Aston Villa might be the perfect remedy. Martial has shown flashes of his elite offensive potential and we will take a chance on him to produce with a favorable matchup this week in EPL fantasy.

FLEX: Pedro, Chelsea

Salary: $4,800

Pedro has the potential to be a very strong scoring threat this week as Chelsea looks to rebound after finally having its undefeated streak snapped. A date with Manchester City could produce one of the highest scoring games of the week so look for Pedro to leave his mark this weekend.

FLEX: Federico Fernandez, Swansea City

Salary: $2,300

With only $2.3K left over to spend on our final FLEX spot we will have to turn back to Swansea and the player that has the highest upside out of those that we can still afford. There is a good chance that Fernandez will play the full 90 minutes versus Newcastle this week and a potential clean sheet bonus would make him a terrific value add for EPL fantasy.
