For schools looking to add depth or immediate production, there are plenty of college basketball transfers available on the market, yet to pick a school and begin preparing for the next step in their college careers.
We’ve got a list of the best available, who your program might just be recruiting.
Derryck Thornton, Duke
Canyon Berry, College of Charleston
Daniel Giddens, Ohio State
Devin Watson, San Francisco
Caleb Martin, NC State
Anthony Livingston, Arkansas State
Jalen Hudson, Virginia Tech
Ben Carter, UNLV
Jimmy Whitt, Arkansas
Spike Albrecht, Michigan
John Gillon, Colorado State
L.G. Gill, Duquesne
Thornton likely has to be the most intriguing name on the list. He’s a guy who graduated high school early for the shot at starting for Duke, but never truly seemed to settle in with Coach K and the Blue Devils’ system. Word out west is that USC has to be considered among the front runners.
Berry and Watson are both prolific scoring options for high-majors looking to add some firepower to their lineup, while Giddens is a guy that shouldn’t have any problem finding a new home with his length and athleticism. Martin was a double-digit scorer for the Wolfpack a year ago, as was Hudson for VA Tech.
Carter and Whitt are interesting as well. This will be Carter’s third program, having left Oregon for UNLV and now looking to visit Michigan State. Whitt was a top 50 recruit out of high school and most consider Colorado and NC State to be leading in his courtship.
Keep an eye on Gillon as well. He may be undersized, but he’s a bulldog.
