Milwaukee Brewers – New York Mets Preview – 05.22.2016

Noah Syndergaard (4-2, 2.19 ERA) gets the ball for the New York Mets (24-18) as they go up against Chase Anderson (2-5, 5.32 ERA) and the Milwaukee Brewers (18-25) in the last of a three-game series at Citi Field. The Mets won the last game 5-4, and New York leads the series 2-0. The game gets underway at 1:10 p.m. ET on Sunday, May. 22 and will air on FSWI and WPIX.

In his last start, Syndergaard pitched 7.0 innings, allowing zero runs and striking out 10 in a 2-0 victory over the Nationals. Yoenis Cespedes (.297, 26 Rs, 14 HRs, 35 RBIs, 1 SB) played well again yesterday, going 2 for 4 with two runs, one home run, and two RBIs. The Brewers were also victorious the last time Anderson pitched. He had a good outing, pitching 8.2 innings, allowing two runs, striking out six and walking one in a 4-2 victory over the Cubs. Ryan Braun (.364, 21 Rs, 7 HRs, 28 RBIs, 2 SBs) went 1 for 4 yesterday with one run and one RBI.
