Atlanta Braves – San Diego Padres Preview – 06.08.2016

Runs may be hard to come by in this one as Drew Pomeranz (5-5, 2.22 ERA) and the San Diego Padres (25-35) meet Julio Teheran (1-6, 2.92 ERA) and the Atlanta Braves (16-42) in the last of a three-game series at Petco Park. The Braves lost the last game 4-3, extending a six-game losing streak. The game gets underway at 3:40 p.m. ET on Wednesday, Jun. 8 and will air on FSSD and FSSE.

In his last start, Pomeranz pitched 7.0 innings, giving up zero runs, striking out eight and walking two in a 4-0 victory over the Rockies. Wil Myers (.290, 36 Rs, 10 HRs, 31 RBIs, 7 SBs) played well again yesterday, going 2 for 4 with one run, one RBI, and one stolen base. The Braves were unsuccessful the last time Teheran pitched. He went 5.2 innings, allowing three runs, striking out seven and walking two in a 4-2 loss to the Dodgers. Freddie Freeman (.248, 27 Rs, 9 HRs, 16 RBIs, 1 SB) has been doing well offensively for the Braves, going 2 for 3 yesterday with one run.
