Arizona Diamondbacks – San Diego Padres Preview – 08.21.2016

In the last of a four-game series between the San Diego Padres (52-71) and the Arizona Diamondbacks (51-72) at Petco Park, Luis Perdomo (5-7, 6.68 ERA) and Braden Shipley (2-2, 4.30 ERA) get the start. The Diamondbacks won the last game 2-1, and San Diego leads the series 2-1. The game gets underway at 4:40 p.m. ET on Sunday, Aug. 21 and will air on FSAZ and FSSD.

In his last start, Perdomo pitched 5.2 innings, giving up three runs, striking out five and walking three in an 8-2 loss to the Rays. The Diamondbacks were unsuccessful against the Mets 7-5 the last time Shipley pitched. He went 5.0 innings, allowing seven runs (one unearned) and walking one.

San Diego is a small +105 underdog in this game, and the Over/Under (O/U) is eight runs. The Padres perform poorly as an underdog with a 39-63 record and have an overall money line of -25.
