Arizona Diamondbacks – Colorado Rockies Preview – 09.02.2016

In the first of a three-game series between the Colorado Rockies (64-69) and the Arizona Diamondbacks (56-77) at Coors Field, Jorge De La Rosa (8-7, 5.09 ERA) and Robbie Ray (7-12, 4.28 ERA) get the ball. The game starts at 8:40 p.m. ET on Friday, Sep. 2 and will air on FSAZ and RTRM.

In his last start, De La Rosa pitched 5.0 innings, giving up three runs, striking out eight and walking one in a 9-4 victory over the Nationals. Nolan Arenado (.294, 98 Rs, 36 HRs, 115 RBIs, 2 SBs) played well again Wednesday, going 2 for 4 with two runs, one home run, and two RBIs. The Diamondbacks were unsuccessful against the Braves 3-1 the last time Ray pitched. He went 5.0 innings, allowing two runs, striking out seven and walking four. Jake Lamb (.259, 66 Rs, 26 HRs, 81 RBIs, 5 SBs) went 1 for 1 Wednesday with one run, one home run, and one RBI.
