Milwaukee Brewers – Pittsburgh Pirates Preview – 09.04.2016

Steven Brault (0-1, 3.86 ERA) and the Pittsburgh Pirates (67-66) meet Chase Anderson (7-11, 4.92 ERA) and the Milwaukee Brewers (59-76) in the last of a three-game division series at PNC Park. The Pirates lost the last game 7-4, extending a five-game losing streak. The game starts at 1:35 p.m. ET on Sunday, Sep. 4 and will air on FSWI and RTPT.

In his most recent outing, Brault pitched 4.0 innings, allowing three runs (one unearned), striking out four and walking two in an 8-7 loss to the Cubs. Starling Marte (.312, 70 Rs, 9 HRs, 46 RBIs, 47 SBs) played well again yesterday, going 3 for 4 with one run, one home run, one RBI, and one stolen base. The Brewers were unsuccessful against the Pirates 3-1 the last time Anderson pitched. He went 5.1 innings, giving up two runs, striking out five and walking one. Chris Carter (.226, 67 Rs, 31 HRs, 74 RBIs, 3 SBs) has been doing well, going 4 for 5 yesterday with two runs, one home run, and three RBIs.
