WWE Sunday PPV Odds – The World Wrestling Entertainment returns to Boston this Sunday night, October 30th for the 2016 edition of the “Hell in a Cell” pay-per-view. Earlier this year, the WWE split their roster into two “brands” called RAW and Smackdown, and the Hell in a Cell themed show is a “RAW” event.
The RAW brand features the newly created Universal championship and that belt will be contested by champion Kevin Owens and challenger Seth Rollins. Rollins and Owens may be ready to put an end to this feud, as Owens has been involved in a story line where he has been befriended by Chris Jericho. Jericho will likely be around while the men are competing and he could have some type of effect on who wins. However the WWE spins it, it looks like we are going to get an Owens vs Jericho feud shortly, and that feud is glossier with Owens as the belt holder.
Also being contested in the Hell in a Cell format is the WWE’s United States championship as Roman Reigns battles Rusev in a feud that has been ongoing now for several months. More than anything, the feud has been used as a way to clearly put Reigns in the US title picture, a lesser spot than the world title scene he had been in for the past few years. Rusev has already been on the short end of the feud and Reigns is expected to keep his grip on the U.S. title.
Women’s champion Sasha Banks and arch-rival Charlotte will become the first women in history to compete in the “Hell in a Cell” cage format. The pair have been feuding over the belt that Charlotte held for a long time. The bottom line is that even though this is scripted entertainment, the Hell in a Cell format is a very abusive format on the performers, and even among the men fighting in the cage is carried like a special badge of honor. Banks and Charlotte have been through a grueling, physical series of matches and it is a sign of progress to say that these two have earned a chance to compete on this new stage. They could steal the show.
The New Day is on a run where they have held the WWE tag titles for two years, but they are facing the powerhouse combo of Cesaro and Sheamus in the match with the most even odds being offered.
