Last week on Raw, Sasha Banks defeated Charlotte in a Falls Count Anywhere match to yet again win the Raw Women’s Championship, and the New Day successfully defended their Raw Tag Team Championships against Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson. With Roadblock: End of the Line less than two weeks away, Raw needs to start making matches for their next Pay-Per-View.
Opening Segment
Seth Rollins makes his way down to the ring and says what we have been expecting him to say for months: “I want Triple H.” Triple H screwed him out of the WWE Universal Championship, and Rollins has failed to capture the belt since. Instead of calling out, he unveils his master plan. He needs to beat Chris Jericho to get to Kevin Owens so he can win the title he was screwed out of (he succeeded doing this last week by Pedigreeing him on top of a car). Before he continues, Kevin Owens interrupts.
They do their usual back-and-forth, and Kevin Owens announces two matches for tonight: Chris Jericho challenging Roman Reigns for the United States Championship, and Seth Rollins facing the returning Big Show.
Seth Rollins vs. Big Show
This is the first time in a long time we’ve seen the Big Show, and he seems to be in great shape. He puts on a pretty good match against Seth Rollins, and Kevin Owens barks orders at him the whole time. Show has had enough, and chokeslams Owens into the ring.
After the chokeslam, Big Show willingly takes the count-out loss, and serves Owens up to Rollins for the Pedigree. Winner (via count-out): Seth Rollins
Jack Gallagher vs. Ariya Daivari
Gallagher faced Ariya Daivari on the premiere of 205 Live, and defeated Daivari in well, gentlemanly fashion. Gallagher is known for his unique technical ability, which helps him stand out from the rest of the cruiserweights (other than the fact that he’s as white as Sheamus). This is Gallagher’s chance to reach a new audience, as he makes his Monday Night Raw debut.
In a match similar to the one on last Tuesday, Gallagher finishes Daivari off with an impactful running dropkick in the corner. Winner: Jack Gallagher
After the match, Gallagher goes to shake Daivari’s hand, but Daivari instead attacks the gentleman by targeting his knee. Hopefully this will provide some interesting storytelling in the Cruiserweight Division.

WWE announces that the annual Tribute to the Troops event is taking place next week on USA.
Sami Zayn vs. Kevin Owens
Even though Owens has been attacked by Big Show and Seth Rollins already tonight, he still has to face Sami Zayn. This also gives Zayn a break, since for the last few weeks he has been constantly destroyed by Braun Strowman.
Sami Zayn hits 3 tornado DDTs, every suplex type he can think of, and still runs into the Pop-up Powerbomb. Winner: Kevin Owens
Backstage Segment
Sasha Banks defeated Charlotte last week in a Falls Count Anywhere match to become a Raw Women’s Champion for the third time. Charlotte has a rematch coming up, so Banks wants to make it historic (as usual). For Roadblock: End of the Line, Banks challenges Charlotte to an Iron Man match.
Rich Swann vs. TJ Perkins
A couple months ago, TJ Perkins was the Cruiserweight Champion. After losing the belt to Brian Kendrick, Rich Swann then became the new Cruiserweight Champion last week on 205 Live.
Swann and Perkins put on a great match, but Swann finishes it by countering Perkins’ springboard attempt with a spinning back kick to the skull. Winner: Rich Swann
Bayley vs. Alicia Fox
Alicia Fox has a crush on Cedric Alexander. Bayley gave Alexander one of her “Bayley Bears,” and Fox stormed off. At least Bayley’s doing something.
Fox starts off the match aggressively, but she was easily taken down by a Bayley-to-Belly. Winner: Bayley
Mark Henry vs. Titus O’Neil
Raw is in Texas, Mark Henry is from Texas. Therefore, Mark Henry will have a match.
In about two seconds, a World Strongest Slam starts and ends the match. Winner: Mark Henry
Roman Reigns (c) vs. Chris Jericho – United States Championship
Chris Jericho was given this match as one of Kevin Owens’ “Gifts of Jericho.” Before the match, however, Jericho wanted nothing to do with the Universal Champion, since it was the other way around last week. If Jericho wins tonight, it will be the first time ever that Chris Jericho holds the United States Championship.
Kevin Owens interferes and tries to assist Chris Jericho, but Y2J only tells him to “get the hell out.” Immediately after Jericho turns around, he gets hit by a spear from Roman Reigns. Winner, and STILL United States Champion: Roman Reigns
Big Cass vs. Rusev
Rusev was yelling at Lana backstage, and Enzo Amore intervened. In order to teach Rusev a lesson, Lana invited Amore to her hotel room. Instead of being worried about what Lana is doing, Rusev wanted a match against Big Cass…
or so we thought. Rusev never comes down to the ring, and Big Cass looks like he knows something is up. Amore appears at Lana’s room, and obviously is uncomfortable with the situation, but not uncomfortable enough to leave. Lana convinces him to undress, calls him a fool, and calls Rusev into the room. The Bulgarian Brute attacks Amore all over the room, and gets revenge on the man who tried to seduce a married woman.
Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson vs. Sheamus & Cesaro – #1 Contender’s Match (Raw Tag Team Championships)
Over the past two weeks, both of these teams have failed to capture the Raw Tag Team Championships from the New Day. The New Day are very close to breaking the longest Tag Team title reign record in WWE, and the final stretch hasn’t been easy. Whoever wins tonight will get yet another Tag Team Championship match next week.
The New Day is sitting at ringside, and both teams brawl into them. The Raw Tag Team Champions retaliate and end the match. Result: No Contest
Because of the no contest, The New Day has to defend their titles in a triple threat tag team match next week.
In-ring Segment
When Charlotte lost her Women’s Championship to Sasha Banks last week, her father (Ric Flair, if you somehow didn’t already know) came down to the ring and raised Banks’ hand in victory. After realizing what she had done to him months ago by yelling at him and telling him to leave her alone, she wants to apologize.
After suckering Ric Flair in for a hug, she slaps her dad and Sasha Banks tries to make the save. Instead, Charlotte had it scouted and attacks Banks at ringside. She drags Banks right in front of a crying Ric Flair to close the show.
