The English Premier league Round 22 is showcasing some very exciting soccer over the upcoming weekend and it is time to check out the offered lines and make some bets.
But before we get on the discussion about the lines and suggested plays, let’s check out the latest news coming from the EPL.
During the week, 4 EPL teams (Southampton, Liverpool, Burnley and Sunderland) played their games in the FA Cup and all of them advanced to the 1/16 finals round.
Manchester United continues to sell away their players. First it was Morgan Schneiderlin, who was sold to the Toffees (Everton FC). According to the latest reports, Memphis Depay is undergoing medical tests and if he is clear, he will reinforce the French team Olympique Lyon on a £21.5 million transfer fee.
Manchester City has acquired the 19-year old Brazilian sensation Gabriel Jesus from Palmeiras on a £27 million transfer fee. We’ll see if Jesus can freshen up the squad and put some smile on Pep Guardiolas’ face.
West Ham coach Slaven Bilic is having enough of the Dimitri Payet drama and would like it to be over with very soon. Payet was most recently linked with the move to China and France, but both offers were rejected.
Having enough of updates yet? OK, I will stop it here as its time to talk money now, so let’s start off with the overviews of all matchups for Round 22:

FEATURED ENGLISH PREMIER LEAGUE ROUND 22 SATURDAY MATCHES:
Liverpool vs Swansea
Got to start off the weekend with the first match of English Premier League Round 22 with the Liverpool hosting the Swansea at the Anfield Road stadium. It was the Reds who ruined our perfect score last weekend, but hopefully we will get it right this time.
The last time Liverpool opened the round with an early game on Saturday was back in October when they defeated the SWANS with 1-2 on the road. Liverpool is looking good this season and it seems that they have finally found some stability at the back having conceded only 24 goals, while they account for the most efficient offensive lineup in the league which produced a total of 49 goals. The Reds pulled a 1-1 draw against Manchester United at the Old Trafford last weekend, while advancing to the next round of the FA Cup after defeating the Plymouth with 1:0 in the midweek.
The Swans, on the other side, are the worst team in the league, having collected only 15 points and recording only 1 win and 4 losses in their last 5 games. Even worse for the Swans is the fact that they have conceded the most goals in the league (49) and 15 in the last 5 matches. The Swans did pull a 1-2 upset on the road against Crystal Palace in Round 20 and just as everyone thought that they might start their way out of the relegation zone, they were knocked down once again, as the Gunners fired 4 goals into the Swans’ net the past weekend.
Liverpool saw some hiccups as of lately which is why they will look to rebound and shine on Saturday, while the Swans will have it difficult to pass the Reds strong defensive line. With that being said, I am suggesting the A.H. -1.5 @ -147.
Manchester City vs Tottenham
Wrapping up the English Premier League Round 22 Saturday’s matches is the clash between the Manchester City Blues (5) and the Tottenham Hotspur (2). Both teams have high aspirations and will not settle with anything less than the UEFA Champions league spot at the end of the season.
The Blues are experiencing some ups and downs as of lately, but still managing to keep up with the top ranked teams. Pep Guardiola is aware that his team needs some new blood to spark the energy of his team, which is why he signed the Brazilian youngster Gabriel Jesus from Palmeiras. The Blues are entering the match-up after a surprisingly high 0-4 loss to Everton on the road in the last round.
Coach Pochettino is doing wonders with the Hotspurs this season and the fans are lovin’ it. Tottenham is on a 6-game winning streak in the EPL, during which they have scored 19 goals or 3.16 per game. They are coming off a 4-0 win over West Brom last weekend and it will be
The Blues will have the weekend assignment to snap the Hotspurs hot streak. Although I expect a tough battle on both sides, the history between the two teams tells us that we can expect goals on both ends. In the last 10 meetings, the teams have combined for 3+ goals in 8 matches. Both teams have reached the Over in 4 out of their last 5 EPL games. For that reason, I am suggesting the Over 2.5 goals which is offered at -119.
FEATURED ENGLISH PREMIER LEAGUE ROUND 22 SUNDAY MATCH:
Arsenal vs Burnley
Our featured match for Sunday afternoon will be the match-up between the Arsenal Gunners and the Burnley FC.
Behind Olivier Giroud’s great form lately, the Arsenal Gunners are still being considered as one of the title contenders. The Frenchman has scored in Arsenal’s last 5 games, in which the Gunners won a total of 10 points. His latest goal came in the 37th minute of the Arsenals 4-0 road win at Swansea in Round 21.
Burnley FC is holding its ground in the middle of the table with 26 points respectively, recording 3 wins and 2 losses in the last 5 EPL games.
The Gunners have won the last 5 meetings with Burnley and they are entering this game as a clear favorite. However, the match-ups between the two teams have exceeded the 3+ goals only once in those 5 games. Arsenal should win, but it won’t be an easy task, which is why I pick the Under 3.5 goals @ -141.
