NCAAF Quick Picks

Miami (FL) @ Georgia Tech – Line: Georgia Tech (-2) O/U- 58.  Miami has covered against Georgia Tech the last two contests.  The over has prevailed in both as well.  Things look to go the same this time around ATS, but the score will stay below the OVER.

Pick: Miami (+2) UNDER 58.

SMU @ East Carolina – Line: East Carolina (-39) O/U-59.  SMU is probably the worst team in college football.  Literally.  They probably don’t even know which way to run at this point.  They are visiting an East Carolina team looking to impress the pundits.  East Carolina will cover the spread but will get no help from SMU to combine for the OVER.  Pick: East Carolina (-39) UNDER 59.

Purdue @ Illinois – Line: Illinois (-9) O/U- 53.5.  Illinois QB Wes Lundt lights up the Boilermakers.  Purdue will hang for awhile but eventually surrender a two touchdown deficit that they can’t overcome, but manage to put up some points themselves.

Pick: Illinois (-9) OVER 53.5.

Navy vs. Air Force – Line: Navy (-3.5) O/U- 56.  Navy likes to run, and that’s about it.  Air Force only allows 86.5 yards on the ground per scrimmage.  Air Force’s defense prevails.  Time runs out fast with both teams running often.

Pick: Air Force (+3.5) UNDER 56.

Vanderbilt @ Georgia – Line: Georgia (-33.5) O/U 56.5.  Georgia is pretty good.  Vandy isn’t that bad.  Georgia’s running attack runs out the clock before the 57 points can be reached.

Pick: Vanderbilt (+33) UNDER 56.5

Eastern Michigan @ Akron – Line: Akron (-25.5) O/U 50.  Eastern Michigan is not good.  They won’t lose by 59 points like their last game, but they’ll lose bad.  As in, more that 25.5.  Akron has no defense.

Pick: Akron (-25.5) OVER 50.

Marshall @ Old Dominion – Line: Marshall (-17.5) O/U- 76.  Marshall’s defense is pretty stout, allowing 16 points a game.  Old Dominion has one of the coolest names as far as colleges go.  Both teams score a lot of points.  Marshall will keep the Monarchs in check.

Pick: Marshall (-17.5) UNDER 76.

1st Half Lines

Purdue (+6) @ Illinois (-6) – Expect the Illinois to come out swinging.

Pick: Illinois (-6)

Vanderbilt (+21) @ Georgia (-21) – The Bulldogs won’t put the game away by more than three scores until after halftime.

Pick: Vanderbilt (+21)

Kansas (+17) @ West Virginia (-17) – The Mountaineers jump all over a bewildered and aimless Jayhawk team looking ahead to dinner and a plane ride.

Pick: West Virginia (-17)

Texas Tech (+7.5) @ Kansas State (-7.5) – Tech puts up a fight early.

Pick: Texas Tech (+7.5)

Baylor (-8) @ Texas (+8) – There is no way Texas can hang with Baylor.  The Bears will prove this early on.

Pick: Baylor (-8)
