The Premier League season will continue to wind down on Saturday with six games on the schedule. With a focus on the title race and Champions League positions, there will be valuable points on the line for the top clubs. We took the time to break down the matchups, price tags and overall potential of the players in action this week to deliver a winning fantasy lineup. Here is a look at the optimal lineup for Saturday’s DraftKings EPL fantasy leagues.
GK: Willy Caballero, Manchester City
Salary: $6,000
Manchester City will enter this weekend sitting fourth in the Premier League table – four points up on arsenal for the final Champions League spot. City won’t climb higher than their but they can take another step towards solidifying their Champions League position with a win over Hull City on Saturday. Caballero should be a lock for this weekend’s DraftKings competitions. Manchester City has been a decent defensive team this season. They have allowed 34 goals, which is the fourth-best mark of any team in the English Premier League this season.
D: John Stones, Manchester City
Salary: $3,500
After locking in Caballero in the goalkeeper position, we have no problem following that decision up with another option from Manchester City. Stones is available at a very reasonable price for this weekend’s action. He definitely makes sense as a strong value pick.
D: Kurt Zouma, Chelsea
Salary: $3,200
Chelsea is running away with the premier League title and there is no reason to expect them to slow down this weekend versus Bournemouth. Zouma is another sleeper value pick at the defender position. He could be in line for a clean sheet bonus to help his overall EPL fantasy score.
M: Eden Hazard, Chelsea
Salary: $8,900
Hazard is coming off arguably his best performance of the season after scoring two goals in Chelsea’s win over Manchester City. At under $9K, Hazard is definitely worth the investment with the hope that he can double down with another strong EPL fantasy performance on Saturday. Chelsea enters the week in first place with 72 points on the year.
M: Phillippe Coutinho, Liverpool
Salary: $8,700
Coutinho has been Liverpool’s most dangerous attacking player all season and that trend should continue this weekend. Liverpool has a favorable matchup versus Stoke City so Coutinho will have plenty of opportunities to make his mark on the scoresheet.
Liverpool enters the week in third place in the EPL standings with 60 points. They are five points out of second and 12 points out of first.
F: Sergio Aguero, Manchester City
Salary: $10,200
City should also have plenty of scoring chances in their matchup on Saturday with Aguero leading the way. Aguero is capable of scoring goals in bunches and he should be a solid DraftKings play for Saturday. Manchester City has been a fairly reliable team for EPL fantasy in terms of offense. They have registered 57 goals so far this season.
F: Divock Origi, Liverpool
Salary: $6,700
After loading up with Hazard, Coutinho and Aguero we are almost out of money. That means Origi makes even more sense in this spot. Origi is coming off a strong performance for Liverpool in his last outing and the potential is there for him to deliver again as a strong sleeper option on Saturday. Liverpool has obviously been a go-to team for EPL fantasy in terms of offense. They have scored 66 goals so far this season, which is the most in the Premier League. They are one of only four teams to top the 60-goal mark.
FLEX: Maya Yoshida, Southampton
Salary: $2,800
With just under $3K left to fill out our final FLEX position, it’s all about finding a quality contributor in this spot. Yoshida has played decent minutes for Southampton so he has a decent floor. The fact that they play West Brom should help. Yoshida could surprise as a sleeper value pick at the FLEX position.
Southampton enters the week with in ninth place with 37 points on the year. However, they have only played 29 games, which is tied for the fewest in the Premier League.
