The college football power rankings have shifted around a little bit but most of the teams in the Top 10 were unaffected. Of course, there were a number of significant losses last week. The Stanford Cardinal lost to San Diego State. The Louisville Cardinals were pumped by the Clemson Tigers. And the LSU Tigers were smoked by Mississippi State. As a result, all of those teams fell down the ranks and their odds to win the College Football Playoff took a huge hit. But in terms of the top 10, we didn’t see too much of a change. We’ll see what happens this week and we start to get into more conference play. The Tide are still favored but their familiar foe is now hot on their heels in terms of the odds to win it all.

1. Alabama Crimson Tide

National Championship Odds: +175
The Crimson Tide (3-0) beat Colorado State 41-23 at home to remain unbeaten, and JalenHurts was 12-of-17 for 248 yards and two touchdowns and he ran 11 times for 103 yards and a score. The Crimson Tide ran 39 times for 239 yards and three touchdowns, but while they forced a pair of turnovers, Alabama also allowed 391 yards on defense. They’ll open their SEC schedule on Saturday at Vanderbilt.
2. Clemson Tigers

The Tigers (3-0, 1-0 ACC) held defending Heisman winner Lamar Jackson in check as they routed Louisville 47-21 on the road. Kelly Bryant was 22-of-32 for 316 yards and a score, along with two rushing touchdowns, while the Tigers had 48 carries for 297 yards and four touchdowns. But the defense allowed 433 yards, but Clemson shut down Louisville on third down and put up 613 yards of their own, and it was a great performance for the Tigers, who host Boston College on Saturday.
3. Oklahoma Sooners

National Championship Odds: +650
The Sooners (3-0) routed Tulane 56-14 at home as Baker Mayfield was 17-of-27 for 331 yards and four touchdowns. Oklahoma racked up 631 yards to 291 yards for Tulane, who scored 14 points in the first quarter, but the Sooners shut them out for the rest of the game and it was all about staying healthy for Oklahoma. The Sooners will open up their Big-12 schedule on Saturday at Baylor.
4. USC Trojans

The Trojans (3-0, 1-0 Pac-12) edged Texas 27-24 at home in double overtime in the best game of the season to date, and Sam Darnold was 28-of-49 for 397 yards, three touchdowns and two interceptions. Those two turnovers could have been costly, but the Trojans also forced four turnovers, which was the turning point in the game. USC travels to California on Saturday for another Pac-12 game, which will be their second conference game of the season.
5. Ohio State Buckeyes

The Buckeyes (2-1, 1-0 Big Ten) bounced back from their loss to Oklahoma by beating Army 38-7 at home, and J.T. Barrett was 25-of-33 for 270 yards and two touchdowns, along with a rushing touchdown. J.K. Robbins ran 13 times for 172 yards and two scores for the Buckeyes, who had 586 yards to 278 yards for Army, who did run for 259 yards on Ohio State, but they also only passed eight times. It was a game that Ohio State needed as they welcome UNLV to town on Saturday.
6. Oklahoma State Cowboys

The Cowboys (3-0) scored the first 35 points of the game on the road at Pittsburgh, and wound up winning 59-21. Mason Rudolph was 23-of-32 for 497 yards and five touchdowns with a pick as the Cowboys put up 676 yards on the day. They had a couple turnovers, but the Cowboys also forced two turnovers, and the offense was simply too much for Pitt to handle. Oklahoma State begins their Big-12 slate on Saturday with TCU at home in what should be a very good game between the two teams battling for the spot in the conference behind Oklahoma.
7. Penn State Nittany Lions

The Nittany Lions (3-0) forced five turnovers in a 56-0 shutout of Georgia State, while Trace McSorley was 18-of-23 for 309 yards and four touchdowns. McSorley also ran for a touchdown for the Nittany Lions, whose defense overwhelmed Georgia State to make sure that this game was never in doubt. They’ll begin their Big-Ten schedule on Saturday at Iowa.
8. Michigan Wolverines

National Championship Odds: +1500
The Wolverines (3-0) outscored Air Force 20-7 in the second half of a 29-13 win at home as Quinn Nordin kicked five field goals, and Donovan Peoples ran back a punt for a touchdown. Wilton Speight was 14-of-23 for 169 yards and no touchdowns, while the Wolverines ran 42 times for 190 yards and a score. It wasn’t a good offensive performance from the Wolverines and they need to get things going quickly as they begin the Big-Ten schedule on Saturday at Purdue.
9. Georgia Bulldogs

National Championship Odds: +2000
The Bulldogs (3-0) outscored Samford 21-0 in the third quarter of a 42-14 rout at home, with Jake Fromm going 8-of-13 for 165 yards and three touchdowns. Nick Chubb had 16 carries for 131 yards and two scores as the Bulldogs ran 54 times for 284 yards and three touchdowns on the day, and Georgia is quietly putting together a solid resume after their win at Notre Dame. They’ll get another test on Saturday as they kick off the SEC part of their schedule at home against Mississippi State.
10. Washington Huskies

The Huskies (3-0) jumped out to a 27-0 first-quarter lead and didn’t look back in a 48-16 rout of Fresno State at home as Dante Pettis had three touchdown catches and a punt return as well. Jake Browning was 19-of-22 for 255 yards and four scores for the Huskies, who also had a couple turnovers on the day, but Washington had this game in hand after the first 15 minutes. The Huskies return to the power rankings this week as they prepare for their Pac-12 opener on Saturday when they head to Colorado. They’ve been very quiet so far as so many other teams have received the attention but they’re in very good shape to be back in the College Football Playoff.
