UFC on FOX 26 Undercard Odds – The UFC is back on FOX with their 26th event and this one comes to us live from Winnepeg this Saturday night.
The first fight on the FOX broadcast sees light heavyweights Jan Blachowicz and Jared Cannonier meet. Blachowicz is 20-7 overall with a good number of fights with the KSW organization in his native Poland. Blachowicz has not found any consistency since joining the UFC, sporting a 3-4 record with the big show. Cannonier has faired a little better in the octagon, going 3-2 in his UFC career so far.
The expected final bout on the FS1 portion of the card sees middleweights Darren Stewart and
Julian Marquez get it on. Both men are young with less than ten pro fights each and both are looking to make an impact with the UFC. Stewart is 0-2 in the UFC with one no contest in three appearances while Marquez is making his debut. Both men are labeled as”strikers” with stoppages coming at the end of their fists in their wins, so a slug-fest is expected. Marquez is the widest favorite on the under card portion of the card when it comes to the lines at the sports books.
Galore Bofando versus Chad Laprise is a much tighter fight at the books despite Laprise’ considerable advantage in UFC experience. Laprise is 5-2 with the UFC while Bofando is making his second appearance.
One of the evening’s openers sees veteran welterweights Jordan Mein (29-12) and Erick Silva (19-8) clash. Both men at one point were moving up the rankings but the loser of this one is probably out the door with the UFC. Mein has lost his last three while Silva has lost three of his last four bouts.
Mein is still just 28 years old and that means he may still have something left. Many recall that his January of 2015 loss to Thiago Alves was followed by Mein retiring. He took almost two years off but returned to lose two in a row so he is on thin ice. In Silva he is facing a guy who once was a rising star with the UFC as well but at 33 his future is limited. Whereas Silva once fought several contenders, his most recent losing streak has come against lesser ranked opposition. This match is a sign of how rough a UFC career can be as we may have gotten this fight as a main card offering just a few years back.
The under card portion of the show will air on Fox Sports 1, with the first two fights on the schedule being made available via the UFC’s Fight Pass. Below are the odds and the over/under lines for the UFC on FOX 26 under card. Check your local listings for start times.
