For the NFL, the pre free agency trades keep coming. Just moments ago the Buffalo Bills completed a trade that will send left tackle Cordy Glenn to the Cincinnati Bengals.
According to the NFL Network’s Pete Schrager, the Bills and Bengals swapped first round picks as part of the deal. Buffalo will now pick at No. 12 which puts them squarely in position to nab a franchise quarterback in the draft. Cincinnati will now pick at No. 21.

Glenn signed a five-year, $60 million contract with Buffalo before the 2016 season. By dealing Glenn now, the Bills open up $11.25 million in salary cap room.
Adding Glenn helps the Bengals make up for letting left tackle Andrew Whitworth flee to Southern California in free agency last season. They drafted two tackles in the 2017 NFL draft, Cedric Ogbuehi and Jake Fisher, and would have likely been forced to take another at 12 in April’s draft. Now, they can look for defensive help later in the first round.

Glenn was originally a second round pick out of Georgia back in the 2012 draft. He started 77 games for Buffalo in his six-year career, but missed most of last season with foot and ankle injuries that eventually landed him on IR.
This is the second big trade of the off-season for the Bills. Last week they shipped quarterback Tyrod Taylor to the Cleveland Browns in exchange for mid-round picks.
CHIEFS CUT HALI AND PARKER
The Kansas City Chiefs continue to reshape their roster. Early Monday the team announced they had cut outside linebacker Tamba Hali and safety Ron Parker.
Hali’s release will save Kansas City $7.7 million in cap space. Parker will open up around $5 million in new cap money.

Hali was pretty much a non-factor for the Chiefs last season after the emergence of Dee Ford in 2016. Hali played in just five games and recorded only one tackle.
Parker is an entirely different story. He’s been a starter in KC for the last four seasons. Last year he recorded 67 tackles, two fumble recoveries, four passes defended and two interceptions.
Neither guy should have trouble landing on a roster. Hali could have a solid, third-down role with a 3-4 defensive team. Parker is 30 years old and still has a couple of prime years left.
