The Colorado Rockies will play host to the Cincinnati Reds at Coors Field. The game gets going at 9:10 p.m. ET and this NL showdown will be shown on ATRM and FSOH.

Cincinnati Reds vs. Colorado Rockies Odds

Colorado (-135) is favored over Cincinnati (+125) and Vegas has set the Over/Under for this one at 11.5 runs. The odds for betting on the game’s total stand at +100 for the under and -120 for the over. Bettors can also wager on the game’s spread with the runline odds sitting at -170 for the Reds +1.5 runs and +150 for the Rockies -1.5.

The Rockies are turning to lefty Tyler Anderson (3-1, 4.74 ERA), who’s got 47 strikeouts and 19 walks as well as a WHIP of 1.34. Anderson only made one start against the Reds in 2017 (1-0, 3.00 ERA and seven strikeouts across six innings).

Colorado’s pitchers have allowed 4.5 runs per game overall in 2018 as a unit. Its starters have an ERA of 4.24, a WHIP of 1.32 and a strikeouts-per-nine of 8.2. The bullpen has a 4.58 ERA, 1.28 WHIP and 9.4 K/9.

The Colorado offense is putting up 3.9 runs per outing, including 3.6 per game over its last 10 games and 3.0 per game over its last five. The team’s hit .219/.294/.313 over its last five contests and is 2-3 SU during that stretch.

Third baseman Nolan Arenado and outfielder Charlie Blackmon have led the Rockies’ batters this year. Arenado is hitting .320/.414/.556 with nine home runs, 27 RBIs and 26 runs scored, and Blackmon is batting .269 with 12 homers, 23 RBIs and 38 runs.

Arenado had a minor drop-off in production against righty pitching in 2017. Across 513 plate appearances, he slashed .272/.341/.502 (his total season line was .309/.373/.586).

In the other dugout, Cincinnati’s pitchers have allowed 5.1 runs per game and its starting pitchers own a 5.54 ERA, 1.54 WHIP and 7.26 K/9. The bullpen has managed an ERA of 3.93, along with a WHIP of 1.54 and a K-per-9 of 8.65.

Reds hitters have slashed .239/.319/.374 on their way to 4.1 runs scored per game this season, including 3.6 runs per game over the team’s last 10 games and 4.2 per game over the team’s last five contests (2-3 SU).

Cincinnati’s offensive production been powered by second baseman Scooter Gennett and first baseman Joey Votto. Gennett is slashing .319/.358/.527 with nine home runs, 35 RBIs and 26 runs scored, while Votto (.279/.401/.425) has produced six homers, 24 RBIs and 25 runs scored.

Gennett did not do especially well against lefty pitching on the road last season, maintaining a slash line of .208/.269/.333 across 78 such plate appearances (compared to his total season line of .295/.342/.531).

The Reds have lost 3.4 units and are 7-7 ATS when facing a lefty starter this season. The over has hit in seven of those games, compared to six that’ve gone under against left-handed starting pitchers. On the other hand, the Rockies have netted 4.7 units and are 14-16 ATS when facing a right-handed starting pitcher. The over has hit in 13 of those games, as opposed to 16 that’ve cashed the under.
