The Boston Red Sox will be facing off against the Houston Astros at Minute Maid Park. This AL matchup can be viewed across the country on ESPN and the game gets underway 7:38 p.m. ET.

Oddsmakers are listing Boston (+160) as the underdog to Houston (-170). Bettors can gamble on the game’s total with odds posted at -105 for over 8 runs and -115 for under 8. Bettors can also wager on the game’s spread with the runline odds coming in at Red Sox +1.5 runs (-135) and Astros -1.5 runs (+115).

The Red Sox have gone 40-19 SU this year and are 31-27 against the spread (ATS). They’ve accumulated 11.1 units for moneyline gamblers and 3.5 units ATS. Boston’s pitchers have allowed 3.8 runs per game and its starters own a 3.90 ERA, 1.22 WHIP and 9.84 K/9. The bullpen has logged an ERA of 3.23, along with a WHIP of 1.22.

Red Sox hitters have slashed .264/.331/.463 on their way to 5.3 runs scored per game this year, including 5.0 runs per game over the team’s last 10 games and 4.8 per game over the team’s last five contests (3-2 SU).

Boston’s hitters have been powered by J.D. Martinez and Mookie Betts, who collectively have blasted 36 home runs. Martinez is slashing .321/.381/.660 with 19 home runs, 50 RBIs and 37 runs scored, while Betts (.359/.437/.750) has produced 17 homers, 37 RBIs, 52 runs and 13 stolen bases.

The Astros’ batters have been led by second baseman Jose Altuve and right fielder George Springer. Altuve is hitting .332/.379/.459 with four home runs, 29 RBIs, 34 runs and eight stolen bases, and Springer’s line is .288/.351/.496 with 12 homers, 35 RBIs and 45 runs scored.

The Red Sox have gained 13.2 units and are 27-19 ATS when facing a right-handed starting pitcher this season. The over has hit in 23 of those games, compared to 21 that’ve gone under in such games. On the other hand, the Astros have netted 3.1 units and are 22-17 ATS when facing a right-handed starting pitcher. The over’s hit in 14 of those games, as opposed to 22 which went under the total.
