New York Yankees right fielder Aaron Judge suffered a left oblique injury in a 9-2 victory over the Kansas City Royals and exited the game in the sixth inning. Judge had an MRI and will likely be placed on the injured list. Considering that the Yankees already have 12 players on the IL, it’s going to be a challenging period for them in the next few weeks.

Albert Pujols passes Babe Ruth on MLB all-time RBI list| Sporting News
Los Angeles Angels’ slugger Albert Pujols recorded his 1,993rd RBI and moved up to the 5th place on the all-time list, surpassing the legendary Babe Ruth in the process. Pujols hit a home run to center field off Anthony Swarzak and even though it didn’t help the Angels avoid a 6-5 loss to Seattle Mariners, it is a great individual achievement.

Veteran lefty Gonzalez opts out of Yankees deal | ESPN
New York Yankees’ left-hander Gio Gonzalez decided to opt out of his minor league contract and now the Yankees have 48 hours to add him to the Major League roster or release him. Gio signed a contract with the Yankees in March and it contains $3 million in base salary if he joins the 40-man roster.

Rays’ roster moves include Austin Meadows to the IL | Tampa Bay Times
Tampa Bay Rays’ outfielder Austin Meadows has a sprained right thumb and the team placed him on a 10-day Injured List. The 23-year-old awkwardly slid into third base on a two-run triple in the seventh inning of Saturday’s 6-5 defeat to the Boston Red Sox. Meadows is hitting .351 with six homers and 19 RBIs in 20 games this season.
