College media days are right around the corner, signaling that the start of the season is imminent. All 10 conferences will have their media days during the third or fourth week in July with the SEC, AAC, and Big 12 kicking things off on July 15. While most teams have yet to announce which of their players will be attending media days, the ACC has announced which two players will represent each of its 14 schools in Charlotte.
Normally, I don't have an issue with teams sending just seniors to ACC football media days, but when you have a Heisman candidate QB like Trevor Lawrence, one of the biggest names in college football – the year you're launching your television network, no less – he should attend.

A lot of media members don’t like that Clemson’s Trevor Lawrence won’t be in attendance at ACC Media Days in two weeks. The Tigers will instead be sending John Simpson and Tanner Muse, and they are one of three schools that won’t be sending a skill position player.

The first school that comes to mind for most people when they think about the FCS is North Dakota State. The Bison have dominated the FCS throughout the decade, but the second-best program for the last few seasons has been James Madison. The Dukes have built a powerhouse program, and their last two coaches left for FBS jobs. It’s no secret that they want to make the jump to FBS, and they would love to join the AAC.

Marshall defensive lineman Dante Walker has left the hospital after being shot in the back last weekend. Walker was reported to be walking down a road in Huntington, West Virginia when a bullet hit him in the back, sending him to the hospital. Thankfully, the bullet doesn’t appear to have done any real damage as Walker was able to check himself into the hospital and is already back at home.
