Alabama A&M Bulldogs – Prairie View A&M Panthers Preview – 02.29.2016

The Alabama A&M Bulldogs (9-15) will travel to William Nicks Center to meet the Prairie View A&M Panthers (5-22) in their home finale. Action begins at 8:30 pm ET on Monday, Feb. 29.

The Panthers are hoping to rebound after their 73-68 loss to Alabama State on Saturday. Tevin Bellinger was the game’s leading scorer with 16 points. The Bulldogs, meanwhile, are feeling some disappointment after their demoralizing 77-54 loss against Texas Southern on Saturday. Alabama A&M lost despite the best efforts of Nick West, who recorded his seventh double-double of the season with 21 points and 12 rebounds.

This is the second game of the season between these two teams, with the Bulldogs winning the first matchup 83-69. Despite the loss, Jayrn Johnson had a standout performance with 27 points, three rebounds, one assist, five steals, one block, and two three-pointers.
