It’s time to find out who’s going to the next level on this season’s America’s Got Talent – it’s the results show!
Of course, the show starts off with a recap of Tuesday’s performances and Simon said he has no idea who’s going to stay and who’s going to go. Okay, who believes that Simon doesn’t know? I didn’t think anyone had their hand raised.
So there will be five acts going through this week – these aren’t the only acts going through — and two ‘Dunkin’ save acts who are saved from elimination by a live vote.
Host Tyra Banks announces that, in no particular order, the acts that came in 6th, 7th and 8th are Angel City Chorale, Junior New System and Mochi. They are the acts that are in danger of going home and can only be saved by winning the live Dunkin’ save vote.
Tyra calls out We Three, the Pack Dance Team and Flo’Jae. America voted and the first act going into the semi-finals is the musical act of We Three. The other two acts have been eliminated. Vicki Barbolack and Human Fountains are up next and the next act going through is comedian Vicki Barbolack. Thank goodness. If the Human Fountains went through I might have had to boycott this show.
Next up is Darci Lynn, last year’s winner, who is an amazingly talented ventriloquist and, oh by the way, she’s only 13 years old. Another crazy good performance with her puppet Petunia.
Amanda Mena and Courtney Hadwin are up next – they are young singers who are both extremely talented. The next act going through to the semi-final is — BOTH OF THEM. I honestly think that Courtney Hadwin can steal this competition away from most of the acts. If I was going to put my money on anybody right now, it would be her, but we still have a lot of competition left in the coming weeks.
Tyra calls up the escape artist Lord Nil and the illusionist Shin Lim. There is only one regular spot left and it goes to Shin Lim!
Now, on America’s Got Talent – The Results Show, there are two spots left and the three acts that came in the bottom three are waiting for the Dunkin’ save part of the show. Based on America’s vote, the first of the last two spots go to – Angel City Chorale. The last spot is based on the judge’s decisions and here is the breakdown of their votes:
Mel B: Mochi
Heidi: Junior New System
Howie: Mochi
Simon: Junior New System
It’s a tie! In the case of a tie, the winner is determined by who got the most votes from America last night. According to Tyra, the act with the most votes last night was the high-heeled dance troupe Junior New System, who is tearfully going to the semi-final.
Next week we’ll see more acts and reduce the competition again at the results show. See you then!
