The NBA Draft was the biggest story in the sports world last night, and one of the biggest complaints was the asinine process in regards to draft day trades. There is a flurry of action on draft night, but because of current rules, players must go up and pose in the uniform of the team that originally had the pick even though that pick may have already been traded one or two times. It’s a crazy process that had even the NFL world buzzing.
Text from NFL coach: “Gotta get the NBA to change the ‘trade rules’ so they don’t keep sending these kids up there with wrong hats on – embarrassing.”

Alex Smith suffered a gruesome injury when the Washington Redskins took on the Houston Texans last season. The quarterback had a compound fracture of his tibia and fibula, immediately drawing comparisons to the injury that ended Joe Theismann’s career. It’s been a long road to recovery, and Smith recently opened up about what he’s endured in trying to get back on the field. He is hoping to eventually play again.
For the first time since the injury, #Redskins QB Alex Smith opens up about his injury, life and “how I’m being tested” with Fox 5 DC’s Angie Goff (@OhMyGOFF). Could be play football again? “That’s the plan. I gotta conquer some more steps for that.” https://t.co/oZXakqe8Pd

First round pick Josh Jacobs has an incredible story, and some Hollywood movers and shakers are reportedly looking to make his experiences into a movie. Jacobs and his family would sleep in their car and move from motel to motel while growing up outside of Tulsa, but he overcame those circumstances to star as a running back for the University of Alabama. Jacobs was selected by the Oakland Raiders as the 24th pick in this year’s draft, and he shouldn’t have to worry about financial issues again.

Byron Leftwich could become a head coach in the NFL as soon as next season. Leftwich has been a fast-riser in NFL circles, and if Jameis Winston finally has a breakthrough year in 2019, Leftwich will receive a lot of the credit. The former quarterback broke the mold when he came into the league, and he has been sharing what made him a 10-year veteran.
Bruce Arians, aka the “quarterback whisperer,” isn’t even in the QB meeting rooms with Jameis Winston, nor is he calling plays. He’s entrusted Bryon Leftwich with that job. A closer look why Leftwich has had such a meteoric rise up the coaching ladder… https://t.co/Fn8zSCFz11
