Two high-powered offenses will dictate this one as the Arizona Wildcats (4-2) take on the Colorado Buffaloes (3-3). The Pac-12’s second-leading rusher, Nick Wilson (683 yards, 8 TDs), will be featured in this game. Arizona will attempt to get back on track after losing two of their last three. The game starts at 9:00 p.m. ET on Saturday, Oct 17 and will be available on FS1.
In last week’s matchup, Colorado struggled mightily against Arizona State 48-23. Devin Ross had a huge game in the loss, pulling in two receptions for 90 yards and one TD. Sefo Liufau also had a great game with 389 yards and a TD through the air. Arizona is hoping for another victory like last week’s performance, when it smashed Oregon State 44-7. Anu Solomon had a good performance through the air for the Wildcats, connecting on 17 of 30 pass attempts for 276 yards. Jared Baker had a great game as well, adding 123 rushing yards on 10 carries.
The Wildcats take on the Buffaloes as a seven-point favorite this week. The Over/Under (O/U) for the matchup is unavailable currently.
Sitting at 3-3 Straight Up (SU) and 2-4 Against The Spread (ATS), the Buffaloes will look to improve heading into Week 7. The Buffaloes run the ball often. Their 45 rushing attempts per game are the 25th-highest in the country. The Buffaloes hope to continue the trend of torching Arizona’s defense during the second quarter, when they allow 14.3 points per game. Keeping the ball 27:11 minutes per game, Arizona ranks 113th in average time of possession. They probably won’t be controlling the clock against the Buffaloes.
In the other locker room, the Wildcats head into Week 7 with records of 3-3 ATS and 4-2 SU. Chances are Arizona will continue to rely on its run game, where its 300.3 rushing yards per game ranks seventh in the nation. It might not be too hard for the Wildcats to start fast this week with Colorado’s defense allowing 8.8 points in the first quarter.
Predictions: SU Winner – Arizona, ATS Winner – Colorado
