Welcome to your daily installment of Get More ‘Stros. Indeed, we have the next update in the Houston Astros’ sign-stealing controversy.
Now, Astros owner Jim Crane is at the owner’s meetings taking place this week. However, he decided to decline any comment on the ongoing happenings with the baseball team he owns.

Take a look at this snippet.
While walking through the lobby of the hotel where owners were meeting Wednesday, Crane stopped briefly when approached by reporters and said he’d talk about baseball.
When someone started to ask if he had any comment about the allegations, Crane responded with “any other issues,” before being escorted away by two sheriff’s deputies working security in the lobby.
Of course, the entire surrounding took some reporters off-guard. For instance, look at what Laura Albanese said of the convoy surrounding and protecting Crane from any questioning.
Astros owner Jim Crane is sitting about 30 feet away. We're not allowed to approach him and a sherriff and constable are standing in between the media and the owner. He'll get to decide whether he wants to speak about the cheating investigation. Stay tuned…

Furthermore, think back to what we pointed out yesterday which was said by media mogul Jomboy. By comparison, when the Astros faced allegations like when they were accused of mis-use of pine-tar substance. Back then, the Astros were at the forefront of defending themselves.
Currently, the silence from the entire organization seems to paint a picture of guilt.
Finally, it’s hard not to feel a little badly for Crane. First, he’s facing a firestorm from the organization he runs which is unprecedented in the history of the sport. Second, it’s hard to imagine he had anything to do with it; which means he’s innocent. Third, what is there for the man to do other than sit and wait for the commish to drop the hammer on his organization with possible harsh sanctions?
One must wonder if the single World Series title the Astros won in 2017 will be worth it to Crane in the end. Owners see their clubs as business venture a lot of times. Obviously, this is all very bad for his brand.
