Astros News: Houston Rumored To Have Used Blinking Lights In Cheating Scandal

Once again, the Astros find themselves buried in a heap of new allegations. Recently we brought you up to speed on most of the developments with an original video recap. Now just a day later, the Astros are accused of flashing lights as part of their bag of trickery.

If guilty, the Astros will be punished greater than the St. Louis Cardinals were for hacking or the Boston Red Sox were for their Apple Watches.

Let’s take a look at the newest wrinkle in what seems to amount to an organization-wide cheating scandal.

First, SNY’s Andy Martino reports the following on extended antics by the Astros.

SNY has learned that the Yankees also complained to the league about blinking lights in center field early on in Game 6 at Minute Maid Park — just days after Hinch responded angrily to SNY’s report about the whistling.

The Yankees also suspected that Houston was alternating whistling and hand signs, depending on the inning, and that the type of whistling varied depending on the pitch.

Therefore, why is this important? For instance, in the elimination game against New York; the Yankee bats went silent after a three-run first inning. Of course, they scored just once until Jose Altuve’s walk-off homer ended the series in the bottom half of the final frame.

Obviously this could be the case of a team being sour after a brutal loss. However – as they often say – where there is smoke, there is fire. Right now, nothing should be ruled out in regards to the Astros’ antics until baseball itself comes out and makes an official ruling.

Finally, if I were a betting man; it certainly seems like the Astros were up to something. I just want Jomboy to find those blinking lights on camera. And the odds are, he will.
