The Hawks are hoping for a better outcome after their 106-90 loss to the Toronto Raptors in their last game. Toronto’s turnover percentage was their largest strength over Atlanta. The Raptors had a rate of 10.5 (better than their season average of 11.5), while the Hawks posted a mark of 19.0 (above their season average of 13.7). Atlanta’s Dewayne Dedmon had a solid performance, recording 12 points and 10 rebounds.

In the Pacers’ last matchup, they lost big to the Utah Jazz, 104-84. Utah’s effective field goal percentage was their biggest advantage over Indiana. The Jazz had a rate of 0.581 (above their season average of 0.522), while the Pacers posted a mark of 0.403 (below their season average of 0.531). With 24 points on 10-for-14 shooting, Myles Turner was the top scorer from either team.

The high-powered offense of Indiana will face off against the mid-tier defense of Atlanta. The Pacers currently rank ninth in offensive efficiency, while the Hawks are 22nd in defensive efficiency. The Pacers should have the advantage on that end of the court.

Atlanta comes into the game with records of 20-45 straight up (SU) and 33-30-2 against the spread (ATS). Games featuring the Hawks have a slight tendency to finish under the total (52.3 percent).

Meanwhile, Indiana is 37-28 SU and 36-29 ATS. Vegas is known to place the total high when the Pacers are involved, as 37 of their 65 games have gone under the total.

Both teams have had a player step their game up over their last five games. Taurean Prince (18.0 points and 2.4 steals) has been fantastic for the Hawks while Bojan Bogdanovic (21.6 points) has contributed greatly to the Pacers.

The Pacers lead the season series against the Hawks two games to one, but dropped their most recent game, 107-102. Indiana covered as a 4-point favorite and the game finished with a total of 209 points, which was just 4.5 points below the projected point total of 213.5 points. The Hawks made 22 of their 27 free throws (81.5 percent) and had a much better offensive rebounding percentage (31.9 vs. 24.4). Despite the loss, Victor Oladipo had a standout performance in the game, putting up 22 points, six steals and five rebounds.
