Chris “Lights Out” Lytle, Melvin Guillard and Josh Burns headline the Bare Knuckle Boxing 9 card in the United Kingdom on Saturday, January 13.
Lytle has faced some of the toughest MMA fighters in the world while compiling a record of 31-18, but now he will turn his attention to Bare Knuckle Boxing as he takes on Lewis Gallant.
Guillard had a solid MMA career, going 32-19, and he has already spent time in the BKB ring, compiling a 3-2 record. He will go up against BKB newcomer Monterio Eugenio.
Burns is a former Bellator heavyweight who will face former Muay Thai champion Mick Terrill. BetDSI Sportsbook has odds on all of the action at Bare Knuckle Boxing 9.

BKB 9 Overview
Chris Lytle vs. Lewis Gallant Picks
Lytle vs. Gallant
Lytle is listed as a -200 favorite in his fight against Gallant at BetDSI, while Gallant is +160. Lytle had a successful MMA career, winning 32 times, and he held his own in the UFC, going 10-10. He earned the nickname “Lights Out” because of his knockout power.
Gallant faced a number of stingy opponents throughout his career, including Matt Hughes, Dan Hardy and Matt Serra, and Lytle was never knocked out. Lytle was 13-1-1 in his boxing career before he transitioned to MMA. Gallant has fought five times in BKB and won three of his five bouts.
Guillard vs. Eugenio
Guillard takes on Eugenio in another of the feature fights at BKB 9. Guillard had a lot of MMA success, going 32-19, and he had success in the UFC with a record of 12-9. He went to Bellator but had no success at all, going 0-3-1 and he was 1-1 in the WSOF.
Guillard began his BKB career in April of 2017 as he defeated Dan Breeze at BKB 5 by TKO. He faced Jimmy Sweeney, the “Undisputed King of Bare Knuckle” in July at BKB 6 and lost by unanimous decision. Guillard lost the rematch against Sweeney at BKB 7 in September. He is expected to be a solid favorite in BKB 9 odds in this fight against Eugenio, who is making his BKB debut.
Burns vs. Terrill
Burns is known for his time in Bellator, but he didn’t do much there as he lost all six of his fights. He has transitioned to BKB, but he is not getting much respect in BKB 9 odds from BetDSI oddsmakers as he is listed as the underdog.
Terrill is a -180 favorite while Burns is +150. Terrill has been a machine in BKB, winning all five of his fights. He previously was 8-10 in his MMA career and 29-4 in his kickboxing career.
Bare Knuckle Boxing 9 Picks
We expect Lytle to live up to his reputation and knock out Gallant. We will side with Guillard to get past Eugenio in what could be a closer fight than people expect, and look for Terrill to win a fierce battle against Burns.
