Baylor Bears vs. Oklahoma Sooners ATS Prediction

In the Bears’ last game, they were dismantled by the No. 20 Florida Gators, 81-60. Florida’s free throw rate was their largest advantage over Baylor. The Gators had a rate of 0.250 (below their season average of 0.268), while the Bears posted a mark of 0.150 (below their season average of 0.240). The Crimson Tide had a rate of 0.222 (below their season average of 0.279), while the Sooners posted a mark of 0.099 (below their season average of 0.255). With 18 points on 8-for-11 shooting, Khadeem Lattin led Oklahoma in scoring.

The high-octane offense of Oklahoma (22nd in the nation with an offensive efficiency of 115.5) will go head-to-head against the mid-tier defense of Baylor (139th in the nation with a defensive efficiency of 101.2). The Sooners should have the edge on that side of the ball.

Baylor heads into the game with records of 12-9 straight up (SU) and 7-7 against the spread (ATS). Vegas is known to set the total high when the Bears are involved, as nine of their 14 games have ended under the total.

Oklahoma has a phenomenal 15-5 SU record, but they are just 8-11 ATS. Unlike Baylor, games featuring the Sooners have a tendency to finish over the total (63.2 percent).

After the Bears won both contests against the Sooners last season, these teams will clash for the first time this year. In the last contest, Baylor won 60-54. Baylor had a much better offensive rebounding percentage (37.8 vs. 27.5). Oklahoma, meanwhile, had a better turnover percentage (12.4 vs. 17.0).
