Bellator 134 Main Card Odds

This Friday’s Bellator 134 will air on Spike TV from the Mohegan Sun in Uncasville, Conn.  The main card odds have hit the books, and the over/under for all the three-round main card bouts came in at 1.5 rounds.

The first bout sees Britain’s Paul Daley a solid favorite (-430) as he takes on Brazilian Andre Santos, who is returning (+310). The over is set at (-170) while the under is paying (+130).  Daley was slated to be in the main event fighting for Douglas Lima’s welterweight belt, and he has waited a long time to return to Bellator as he had to fight through visa and legal problems, so hopefully he can channel those frustrations.  Santos, for all his experience (37-9) looked average in his Bellator debut.  He deserves credit for stepping in at the last moment against a highly touted guy, but the difference in level is expected to show here.

At heavyweight, veteran Cheick Kongo is favored (-140) as he greets light heavyweight import Muhammad “King Mo” Lawal, who is returning at (+100).  The over is paying (-190) and the under is set at (+150).  Lawal also deserves credit for taking on a challenge.  He has been with Bellator a long time and he is still looking for a signature performance. He feels his wrestling and athleticism make him well suited to fighting bigger men, so he is looking to make a splash at heavyweight. In Kongo, he has a tough assignment, as the big Frenchman is a good striker who could hurt King Mo, and what is more dangerous is the Frenchman’s ability to slow down and grind out an ugly, boring fight.

And speaking of light heavyweights, veteran Thierry Sokoudjou will be the underdog (+220) when he faces Linton Vassell, who is returning at (-300).  Vassell put in a credible performance in his last outing, losing a title fight in the fifth round.  If he can avoid getting hit with something big by Sokoudjou, he should have the skill to beat the veteran, who has long appeared tired in his fights.  The over is at (+100) and the under is paying (-140).

The final line features Curtis Millender paying (-105) and late replacement Brennan Ward returning (-135).  The over is paying (-125) with the under paying (-115).
