This Friday night on SpikeTV, Bellator 138 will feature a heavyweight main event between Kimbo Slice and Ken Shamrock. The long awaited fight was scheduled to happen back in 2008 but Shamrock was cut at the last minute and failed to make the fight. The odds for this fight have been up at the books for while, but the books have put up the four other main card fights.
The Featherweight title is on the line as champion Patricio Freire (23-2) defends his belt against Germany’s Daniel Weichel (35-8) in a bout pitting two very experienced fighters. Weichel is on a long, eight-fight winning streak and he has gone 4-0 with Bellator to earn the title shot.

A pair of former Bellator titleholders begin working their way back as featherweight Daniel Straus (22-6) returns to face undefeated Henry Corrales (12-0), and lightweight Michael Chandler tries to snap a three-fight losing streak against veteran Dereck Campos.
Also on the card is the heavyweight matchup featuring pro wrestler Bobby Lashley taking on Dan Charles. Bellator is counting on this match and the main event match to draw viewers, as Lashley’s pro wrestling career makes him a bit of a draw and SLice and Shamrock are two very recognizable faces, but the fact is that this is questionable matchmaking on the part of Bellator, and the odds are that neither fight will be considered great when all is said and done.
