Bellator 142 Odds: Tito Ortiz Takes On Liam McGeary For Light Heavyweight Title

This Saturday Night Bellator 142 “Dynamite” comes to us on Spike TV with a light heavyweight title fight between champion Liam McGeary (10-0) and veteran challenger Tito Ortiz (18-11-1).  For McGeary, it is his first title defense since capturing the belt from Emanuel Newton back in February.

Speaking of Newton, he is in the Bellator four-man Light Heavyweight tournament that should decide the next title challenger in the weight class and he will be facing Bellator newcomer Phil Davis.  Davis (13-3) is likely the favorite to win it all, as his resume with the UFC has him winning against some high level competition.  Davis was released by the UFC for an underwhelming style that never pleased the crowds, so it will be interesting to see if the veteran Newton (25-8-1) can turn this into an exciting fight.  The other bracket sees Mo Lawal facing Linton Hassell.  These are two-round bouts, and the winners of the two bouts will advance to fight later that day in a three-round contest.

The live card at the SAP Center in San Jose, Calif. features 21 fights in all.  The show will feature kickboxing and MMA bouts, and a ring and a cage will be set up next to each other.   Odds are also posted for kickboxing, as welterweights Fernando Gonzalez and Paul Daley meet in what could be a prelude to them fighting an MMA match, as they are both predominantly MMA fighters at this point.  Also, the 205 pound kickboxing title will be decided when Saulo Cavalari faces Zack Mwekassa.

Check out the odds for the main card of Bellator 142.
